Today's NIV:  The TNIV Bible

Those That Oppose Themselves

"Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself."  Titus 3:11

Matthew 5:9 NIV
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Matthew 5:9 TNIV
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Matthew 5:9 KJV
Blessed [are] the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

This one was so blatant to the fact that the NIV was wrong they correct the NIV with their new TNIV
by going back to the Bible they hated: the King James! They state as an explanation on their web site the following:

"There is good precedent for the wording of the TNIV. Every English Bible from Tyndale's New Testament (1536) to the revered King James Version (1611) used the word "children" to translate huioi in Matthew 5:9. (The English Revised Version of 1881 was the first to use the term "sons.") In Matthew 5:9, the TNIV returns to the historic tradition of English Bible translation." (Matthew 5:9 TNIV)

In other words, they went back to the same usage as the King James Version.  It is very interesting that they would do this since they have previously claimed the King James Version to be inaccurate and archaic!  Apparently, the TNIV translators want to pick and choose what "sounds good" to them.  Examine some of the following to see what I mean:

Matthew 9:6-8, KJV (again a clear reference to the Lord Jesus)

6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
7 And he arose, and departed to his house.
8 But when the multitude saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

Matthew 9:6-8, TNIV
6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins." So he said to the paralyzed man, "Get up, take your mat and go home."
7 Then the man got up and went home.
8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to human beings

Matthew 13:57, KJV
And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Matthew 13:57, TNIV (see also Luke 4:24)
And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "Only in their own towns and in their own homes are prophets without honor."

Matthew 16:16 NIV
Simon Peter answered, "You are the
Christ, the Son of the living God."

Matthew 16:16 TNIV
Simon Peter answered, "You are the
Messiah, the Son of the living God."

Matthew 16:16 KJV

"And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Again, anyone with first year Greek will know you don't get the word Messiah from Christ. The NIV at least had this right. Here the TNIV changes the meaning with no Greek authority, and makes the passage, not easier, but more difficult to understand. Once again the corrupted NIV corrects the extra-corrupted TNIV!

Luke 17:3 NIV
If your
brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.

Luke 17:3 TNIV
If any
brother or sister sins against you, rebuke the offender; and if they repent, forgive
them.

Luke 17:3 KJV
Take heed to yourselves: If thy
brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent,
forgive him.

In this passage the change in the TNIV is a clear addition to God's Word. The TNIV inserts "or sister," which Jesus did not say. They have no Greek authority to do so, not even in their corrupted Greek text. The KJV and even their NIV prove that they added and deleted in this passage. This is so clear my friend's you would have to be blind not to see this! Do you? Are we so blind today that we don't understand? The Greek text CAN and DOES add "sister" when it wishes to. There is no need to insert "or sister". See James 2:15 for an example.

John 1:18 NIV
No one has ever seen God, but God the One and only, who is at the Father's side, has made
him known.

John 1:18 TNIV
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest
relationship with the Father, has made him known.  (exact quote)

John 1:18 KJV
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

This passage in the TNIV is so ridiculous it ceases to be serious anymore. Here they stumble trying to to not make Jesus God but then come to their senses and realize what they've done and try to make Him appear to be God again, all in the same sentence.

It is a ludicrous translation of the verse and a complete misuse of even basic grammar.

John 6:33 NIV
"For the bread of God is
he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

John 6:33 TNIV
"For the bread of God is
that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

John 6:33 KJV
For the bread of God is
he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

THAT? They have the audacity to call Jesus "THAT" and not HE? A thing? THAT? In this one they make Jesus an "it" and not a person.

Acts 7:20 NIV
"At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared
for in his
father's house."

Acts 7:20 TNIV
"At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared
for in his
parents' home."

Acts 7:20 KJV
"In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his
father's
house three months."

Here is another problem for the liberal translators. They again add a word which you can't possibly get from a translation of the Greek. The word 'Father' in Greek is pater not parents: parents is 'goneus'. These are two completely and totally different words.  Even a spelling mistake could not produce such an error!

In modern corrupted thinking, and we have seen this over and over, the idea is to tear down and destroy the traditional patriarchal role in the homes. This text will do just that. Imagine if this is the only translation surviving in generations to come. Imagine the future generations that will be reading it. What will they be seeing? They certainly will not see his home being referred to as his father's home.

Acts 20:30 NIV
"Even from your own number men will arise and
distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them."

Acts 20:30 TNIV
"Even from your own number some will arise and
distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them."

Acts 20:30 KJV
Also of your own selves shall men arise,
speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

I had to laugh at this one. This is exactly what they're doing!

Galatians 2:6 NIV
As for those who seemed to be important—whatever they were makes no difference to me;
God does not
judge by external appearance.

Galatians 2:6 TNIV
As for those who were held in high esteem —whatever they were makes no difference to me;
God does not
show favoritism.

Galatians 2:6 KJV
"But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed [to be somewhat] in conference added nothing to me."

What can we say? Can we say "Politically Correct?" Apparently, the TNIV didn't like what the NIV had done and decided to exclude judgment by God.

When these translators get to Hebrews, they are walking on some VERY DANGEROUS GROUND.

In fact, they go beyond Dangerous and become openly BLASPHEMOUS, WICKED, and SATANIC:

Hebrews 2:16-17, describes how the Lord Jesus physically came through the seed of Abraham. Verse 17 says that the Lord Jesus, was physically:  ". . . made like his brethren"

The TNIV translators, without any Greek evidence, in any manuscript, inserts the female gender "sisters" into the verse! This is a flagrant disregard for the Greek text and it is adding to God’s Word.

Let's look at the verses:

Hebrews 2:16-17, KJV
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be
made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Hebrews 2:16-17, TNIV
For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. "For this reason he
had to be made like his brothers and sisters in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people"

Say What? ". . . made like his brothers and sisters IN EVERY WAY. . ." ?

Why in the world did they "add" the words "in EVERY way"? What in the world do they mean "in EVERY way"?

This opens the door for some serious satanic feminist and new age teaching: namely, that Jesus Christ was both male and female.

There are MANY New Age, damnable, false teaching groups that have stated that God was BOTH male and female.

Interestingly enough, there is a New Age Best Selling Book out there called "The Coming of the Cosmic Christ", written by Matthew Fox. He states exactly what the TNIV translators have written in this verse. "The Cosmic Christ can be both female and male, . . ." (Matthew Fox, The Coming of the Cosmic Christ).

Yet another identical statement is made by Feminist Rosemary Radford Ruether, in Sexism and God-Talk, in which she states that Christ was "made like his brothers and sisters in every way".  Ruether, says "Christ is not necessarily male, nor is the redeemed community only women, but a new humanity, female and male. . . In the language of early Christian prophetism, we can encounter Christ in the form of our sister" (Rosemary Radford Ruether, Sexism and God-Talk)

It should be apparent to even the most casual observer just where this teaching and the errors of this translation has come from.  I'll give you a hint:  It wasn't from heaven, and it wasn't from the natural minds of men.

Perhaps you'll remember Virginia Mollenkott from our KJV vs. NIV studies. Here are a few of her quotes:

"The combination of Wisdom/Christ leads to a healthy blend of male and female imagery that empowers everyone and works beautifully to symbolize the One God who is neither male nor female yet both male and female". (Mollenkott, Virginia Ramey. The Divine Feminine. P. 104).

"The creation story begins by affirming that God is neither male nor female, but both. The first chapter of Genesis emphasizes that both male and female are made in the image of the creator God." (Virginia Ramey Mollenkott, Gender Diversity and the Christian Community)

This is the thought process of a purely reprobate mind!

NIV committee member and homosexual activist, Mollenkott, seems to have no respect for the Lord Jesus. She even perverts the Lord Jesus Christ into a "gender-bender", "effeminate" man.

This is the same type of statements that for several years now, the homosexual community has tried to promote in order to try  to make Jesus out to be homosexual.

Look at these damnable statements she (Ms. Mollenkott) made concerning Jesus: (emphasis on her statements are mine):

"Jesus, whom Paul refers to as the second Adam, also defied gender norms. He didn't marry, although he had the religious obligation to do so at eighteen. He performed acts like cooking or washing the feet of his disciples – acts culturally assigned to wives or slaves, not to a free male, and certainly not to a rabbi. . ."
(Virginia Ramey Mollenkott, Gender Diversity and the Christian Community)

If this next one isn't a statement from Satan himself, I'm not sure what would be:

NIV consultant, Mollenkott stated in a news conference, that Jesus Christ was "chromosomally female":

"You might be interested to know that. . . Jesus remained chromosomally female throughout life."  (Virginia Mollenkott, National Council of Churches news conference, cited in The Language of the King James Bible, Gail Riplinger, p. 114)

Rest assured, Ms. Mollenkott, there is a day coming in which you will answer for every word and THEN you will bow your knee to the one whom you've blasphemed all these years and confess that HE is Lord of all.

Are these new version translators and publishers not aware of the serious warnings, the Lord gives on tampering with, adding to and taking away from His words?

"Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you."
Deuteronomy 4:2

"Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar."
Proverbs 30:6

This version is corrupt almost beyond belief ... Almost.  We were warned in 2 Timothy 3:13: "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."

All these translations do is add more doubt, more confusion, more excuses for a lost and dying world to doubt the accuracy of the words of God – ". . . yea, hath God said. . .?" Genesis 3:3: "...GOD HATH SAID..."

Will They Stop Before the Entire Roll is Burned? It's Not Likely.
