This Short Quiz
There seems to be so many
differing opinion in certain religious circles today about the way people
dress. We, in the United States of America are the richest country
on the face of the earth, yet we dress like we are the poorest.
There is very little
agreement as to what constitutes modesty. We know the Bible tells us
to dress "modestly" (1 Timothy 2:9).
Many will attempt to use (very much out of context and meaning),
1 Samuel 16:7 as their justification in
modesty. What does it say? "...or man looketh on the outward
appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart."
That passage has nothing to do with dress or modesty and it wasn't even
referring to King Saul's clothing!
What do you
know about modesty? Do you think the Bible has anything to say
about modesty? Are there principles associated with modesty that we
could all benefit from?
Opinions are as varied as
people, but I am really not concerned with people's personal opinions
when it comes to the bible. I want to know one thing right now
though:
