Would
You Explain These Questions to Me?
Since
there are many today who are so against the King James
Version of the Bible and who are haughty, puffed up and
vain when it comes to criticizing the supporters of the
King James Only Bible users, I thought it to be proper to
see if I could get some answers from those in the
Anti-King James Bible crowd.
Please,
then, explain to me the error (or so you claim) of my ways
in using the King James Bible. Please start your rebuttal
or your letter by explaining just why YOU are so adamantly
opposed to the use of the King James Bible. You might try
to explain to me why you believe modern translators who
refuse to live by the bible are qualified to handle the
HOLY scriptures. (Please DON'T bother to write if all you
wish to do is present a "one liner" statement. I'm really
looking for those who have at least a 6th grade
education...the level at which the King James Bible is
written).
"The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried
in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou
shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from
this generation for ever."
(Psalm 12:6,7}
My
Questions To You:
1. How
many people am I leading to Hell because I believe the
AV1611 is infallible? Can you elaborate on why you believe
this?
2. How
many young Christians will grow up with a stunted
knowledge of the Bible, if I teach them to read the King
James Version with the belief that it is infallible and
that it is very words of God? How many would grow up that
way if I remove references to worship of Jesus or to the
very blood that bought us (as is done in most modern
versions)
3. What
is wrong with holding up the AV1611 and telling
Bible-believing Christians, "You can trust every word"?
Are the words written in today's versions somehow more
"trustworthy" than the King James Version?
4. How
much of my reward will I lose for trusting God to keep his
"WORDS" to every generation? I believe God is able to
preserve His Word and that he has done so throughout the
years. Do you?
5. If I
am not allowed to believe the AV1611 is infallible, then
which version should hold that distinction?
6. If
no version can hold that distinction, what do you suggest
I tell my grand-children the next time they read Psalm
12:6-7? Should I inform them that God just isn't able to
preserve His Word?
7. If I
am forced to learn Hebrew and Greek before I can study the
"words" or the Word of God, then why do you believe I
should just buy a different English version? Would you
personally pay for my tuition to study Greek and Hebrew?
(If you will, please make your check out to Apostolic
Temple. I will not be taking those lessons but will
instead put the money to good use in the community helping
with food, shelter and clothing for those in need. Thanks
in advance for your generosity.)
8. Why
do you feel you must crusade against those which hold the
King James Version to be the best and most accurate
translation. Show me ONE example that will send someone to
hell by preaching out of it. Show me ONE example that will
cause someone to lose faith, miss the mark or deny the
divinity of Christ by my use of the King James Version.
9.
Which Bible do you use in your private studies and which
one is the "best translation"? Please list your reasons
why you believe it is the best.
10. Do
you consider yourself a "Bible Believer" or a "Bible
Corrector"? Why are you opposed to my use of the term
"Bible Believer" when I use the King James Version?
I look
forward to receiving your response to my questions.
Thanks!
