Is it a Crime to Speak the Truth?

In 1994, former President Bill Clinton signed the Hate Crimes Sentencing Enhancement Act.  With this law, stiffer sentences were made possible for those convicted under a "hate crime".

In 1998 while Congress was in recess, former President Bill Clinton bypassed congressional authority and approval by signing an executive order creating a special category for federal job preferences and promotions.  This special category was comprised of, you guessed it, homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals and "transgendered" persons.  Now those who choose perverse lifestyles have a special federal protection under the law when it comes to employment.  Additionally, AIDS was added to the Americans With Disabilities act, thus classifying those with a predominantly homosexually spread disease as being "disabled" and thus eligible for federal benefits.

There have been several other acts passed in the recent past carrying "Hate Crimes Prevention Act" classifications and names, as well as "Hate Crimes Punishment Acts", all of which give special classification to those who choose to participate in lifestyles that the bible clearly condemns.

You can rest assured that it has not ended there and it will not end there!   This will not end until Homosexuals have classified and prosecuted every single bible believing Christian as a "hater" and a "hate crimes criminal".

The American Psychological Association released a report describing what they classify as a "hate crime":

"Hate crimes are message crimes. They are different from other crimes in that the offender is sending a message to members of a certain group that they are unwelcome."   (Read the full report at this link)

Apparently, by definition, it is now a "crime" to call sin, well ... sin.  This is exactly what the world wants to accomplish and this is the thinking that is preparing the way for that "Man of Sin" to rule!

HR 1592 currently under consideration by the United States Congress intends to criminalize thoughts, feelings, ideas and beliefs and make criminals out of law abiding citizens who happen to voice their opinion on homosexuality and other sinful behaviors.  This means that websites such as this one and authors such as I would be charged with a hate crime and subjected to imprisonment and/or extreme fines for voicing our opinions that homosexuality, adultery, radical Islamist Terrorists, etc. are wrong!  Does this concern you?  Read the bill for yourself:  it is true that this is happening RIGHT NOW in the United States of America.

HR 1592 has already been endorsed by the majority Democrats and the bill, once enacted and passed as law  will be termed the "Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007".  It will make it a crime to preach against same sex marriage, homosexuality, adultery, or other religious doctrines and opinions.

This bill is not about hate, nor is it about crimes:  it is about stripping away the freedom speech and the freedom to hold sincere religious beliefs according to the written Word of God!

How dangerous is this?  Rep. (and former Judge) Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, pointed out on the House Judiciary Subcommittee, if passed, H.R. 1592 is going to put pastors in prison. Pointing to Title 18 of the US Criminal Code, Section 2 (a):

(a) Whoever commits an offense against the United States or aids, abets, counsels, commands, induces or procures its commission, is punishable as a principal. –18 USC Sec. 2

This means that a Pastor or any other church member who counsels from a biblical perspective or has read from Roman 1, I Corinthians 6?,Genesis 19, Leviticus 18 or 20 or other such passages, can be charged with a crime if someone, somewhere objects.

BREAKING NEWS:  The House Committee has voted to APPROVE this legislation (April 26, 2007).  This is a dark day indeed for America and for free speech.  Read More ...

Consider a couple of other well known cases recently that have happened in countries that have similar legislation (which by the way was said to NOT be against Christians and their free speech):

In Australia, two evangelical pastors were charged with violating the State of Victoria's 'hate crimes' laws last year for criticizing Islam.  In Canada, a Catholic city council member was fined $1,000 for publicly stating that a gay couple's lifestyle was "not normal and not natural..

Did you know in New Jersey and New Hampshire it is already a "hate crime" to communicate in a manner likely to cause "annoyance or alarm.".  Annoyance?

3.  Criminalization IS CURRENTLY BEING ACCOMPLISHED

After Criminalization, there is one thing left ...
