Continuing with the 9 things listed in Deuteronomy 18:10-14:

5.  One that is "a witch".  A witch is one who is involved in practicing magical incantations.  Often witches like to describe themselves as "good or bad", "black or white", etc.  Many times you will see the word "magic" spelled as magik or magick.  You should know that no matter how you try to examine it, there is NO SUCH THING as "good" magic.  It is ALL demonic and has one source:  Satan.  A Christian should NEVER be involved in any form or fashion with magic whether it is called black or white, Wicca, incantations (the repetition of words, phrases, poetry, magic spells, etc. that are designed to invoke some deity (demon).

6.  One that is "a charmer".  A charmer is one who casts spells upon or ties knots or binds other people by magic mutterings.  It means "to change things by the use of magic especially using the chanting of a magical verse or formula.  A charmer is also one who provides an object or a piece of jewelry that is used for magical purposes.   All Christians MUST beware of occult symbols, talismans, good luck charms, amulets, crystals and the following two which have taken the Church by storm:  New Age POSITIVE THINKING and Positive Confession!

7.  One who is "a consulter with familiar spirits".  This is one who asks, demands or desires the assistance of an evil (demon) spirit.  See 2 Kings 21:6, 2 Chronicles 33:6, Isaiah 19:3.  These are commonly called "mediums", mystics, "channelers" and other such terms.  They believe they are contacting the dead, but in reality what they are really contacting is a demon spirit that pretends to be the dead (person).  A Christian should NEVER under any circumstances contact one who "channels", a spiritist, medium, spirit guide, etc.   Stay away from one who seeks and consults with "ascended masters", spirit guides, or the like.  A Christian should NEVER attend or participate in a séance, automatic writing session or a session in which someone claims to have a dead person speaking through them or to them.

8.  One who is a "Wizard".  A Wizard is one who is well learned in many things of the occult.  They are generally always in touch and in communication with demonic spirits.  A male witch, a sorcerer, magician, conjurer or one who uses magic to have (demonic) control over another person is classified as a wizard.  This can also imply to one who uses magic to change nature. See 2 Kings 17:17, 2 Kings 21:6, 2 Chronicles 33:6, Isaiah 19:3.  Stay away from those who claim to be "clairvoyant", or who practice mantras, sorcery, astral projection, astral travel, transcendental meditation (TM) and various forms of zen.

9.  One that is a "necromancer".  A necromancer is a person who claims they speak with the dead (or has other such contact with dead people).  ALL contact with the dead is forbidden by God.  It is God and God alone who should be your source of contact for all things spiritual and for your guidance!

 The bible clearly tells us these things are not of God, that they are abomination to God and that God drove out the Canaanites because of these things. 

The Source 

The source of ALL the above mentioned things is purely demonic.  Note that it is not only the ones doing these things, but it is also the one who consults such a person that God holds accountable and views as GUILTY!  Examine the passages concerning Saul: 

1 Samuel 28:6-7 And when Saul enquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

1 Chronicles 10:13-14 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse. 

Defiled by These Things 

To consult with witches, wizards, necromancers, those that peep, etc. is to defile your spirit!  There are several places in the bible that mention this:

2 Chronicles 33:6 And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Manasseh did these things in spite of God's instruction to turn away from such acts. 

Leviticus 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God. 

America has Embraced the Most Ungodly, And The Most Unholy Things 

Hollywood glorifies and deifies psychics, fortune tellers, necromancers, etc.  Even the former First Lady Hillary Clinton has admitted to seeking the advice of psychics and has stated that she consults with the dead Eleanor Roosevelt on a regular basis.  Movie and TV Stars tell us today that we should consult such people.  Police departments turn to so-called psychics for answers. Even many people who call themselves Christian will consult a horoscope on a regular basis.  America has embraced a spirituality of the demonic as never before. 

Revelation 9:21 "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts."

The word in the above passage that is translated as "sorceries" comes from the Greek root word "Pharmakeia" from which we get a readily recognizable word:  Pharmaceuticals  (Drugs).  America has certainly and wholeheartedly embraced their drugs today:  both legal and illegal.  The tragedy of this is that many Christians have no problem at all with taking prescription drugs in large quantities to alter mood, personality, etc.  Apparently, in today's church, Jesus Christ isn't sufficient to handle every need and every problem.  I've seen Christian people on Anti-Depressants, Anti-Psychotics, Mood Elevators, prescription pain killers and just about everything else one could think of.  They rationalize this by stating that the drug is "prescription".  The abuse of ANY drug is the word used here in Revelation:  Sorceries.  The word "witchcraft" as found in Galatians 5:20 also has the same root as in Revelation 9:21:  Pharmakeia:  Drugs.  The only pill most people really need is the Gos PILL  (I know, it's an "oldie" play on Gospel, but hey..!)

Galatians 5:21 says they that do such things SHALL NOT inherit the kingdom of God.

The worst part of the entire matter is that consulting with any of the 9 listed will gain you what is written in Revelation 21:8 and Revelation 22:15:

Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Revelation 22:15 "For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie."

What God tells us through the entire bible is that the legitimate means of seeking God and seeking what He would have us to do is to look into His Word.

God has given us guidance through his written word.  We are never to seek instruction in witches, fortune tellers, astrologers, channelers, etc.  We are to seek God himself!

On the last page, I want to explain a bit more in detail about something that seems to be growing by leaps and bounds in our modern age of newfound spirituality  it is this thing called "channeling".  Friend, before I even begin the page, I will tell you immediately and with no reservations that "channeling is completely, totally, 100% demonic in EVERY case.
